At Peru Travel With Purpose S.A.C., we’re committed to providing our clients with exceptional service. As providing this service involves the collection, use and disclosure of some personal information about our clients, protecting their personal is one of our highest priorities.

Our privacy commitment includes ensuring the accuracy, confidentiality, and security of our clients’ personal information and allowing our clients to request access to, and correction of, their personal information.

What Personal Data We Collect and Why We Collect It

Unless the purposes for collecting personal information are obvious and the client voluntarily provides his or her personal information for those purposes, we will communicate the purposes for which personal information is being collected, either orally or in writing, before or at the time of collection. 

We will only collect client information that is necessary to fulfill the following purposes:

  • To understand the needs of our clients;

  • To guarantee a travel or hotel reservation;

Contact Forms & Comments

When visitors fill out forms or leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the contact or comments form, and we may also collect the visitor’s IP address, date and timestamp, and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Media

We do not share your personal information with third party providers.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If we use client personal information to make a decision that directly affects the client, we will retain that personal information for at least one year so that the client has a reasonable opportunity to request access to it. We will retain client personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the identified purposes or a legal or business purpose.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

If you fill out a form on the website, the information submitted in the form and its metadata are retained indefinitely for customer service purposes.

When you view pages on our website, the analytics records are retained indefinitely for customer service purposes.

Ensuring Accuracy of Personal Information

We will make reasonable efforts to ensure that client personal information is accurate and complete where it may be used to make a decision about the client or disclosed to another organization. 

Clients may request correction to their personal information in order to ensure its accuracy and completeness.  A request to correct personal information must be made in writing and provide sufficient detail to identify the personal information and the correction being sought. 

If the personal information is demonstrated to be inaccurate or incomplete, we will correct the information as required and send the corrected information to any organization to which we disclosed the personal information in the previous year. If the correction is not made, we will note the clients’ correction request in the file.

Securing Personal Information

We are committed to ensuring the security of client personal information in order to protect it from unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal or similar risks. 

The following security measures will be followed to ensure that client personal information is appropriately protected:

  • The use of user IDs and passwords to log in to computers and websites with the client personal information;
  • Firewalls on the computers used to access the information;
  • Restricting employee access to personal information as appropriate.

We will use appropriate security measures when destroying client’s, customer’s, member’s personal information such as permanently deleting electronically stored information.

We will continually review and update our security policies and controls as technology changes to ensure ongoing personal information security. 

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

Clients have a right to access their personal information, subject to limited exceptions. A request to access personal information must be made in writing and provide sufficient detail to identify the personal information being sought. If you have an account on this site, filled out a form, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
