Jacob was an excellent tour guide. He was very kind and went at our pace during the hike. He was very knowledgeable about the history and shared a lot of cool insights. He made it a safe and enjoyable experience, and provided us with tips on how to avoid getting scammed. Would highly recommend booking with them.

We were able to experience so many areas around and in... read more Cusco and the Sacred Valley, learning constantly about the history, the culture, the agriculture and foods, the customs, and how it all tied together throughout the region and al of Peru. We were also able to visit with girls in an orphanage, meeting their director and her son, and feeling the true goodness and goals of improving the future. The kindness of everyone was absolutely amazing, but Jacob was a true standout. He was so kind in taking treasured photos of us together and then we would often end with a group selfie at each point—it felt like we had made a new friend. My daughter and I enjoyed our long-awaited trip in ways that we didn’t expect, with so much more depth and understanding that created more connection. In addition, Samantha is incredibly organized and helpful, with quick turnaround on every question and the ability to help figure out every detail. Her kindness came through every email. This is a wonderful organization and I highly recommend them!

Amazing people, amazing trip! - Our experience with Travel With Purpose in Cusco was truly exceptional, and it’s entirely because of the incredible people who made this trip so memorable. First, we have to talk... read more about our main tour guide, Jacob Diaz, who was absolutely AMAZING. He explained everything so clearly and thoughtfully that even my preteen and teenage kids were fully engaged and able to understand. He used pictures, made everything interactive, and brought so much energy to every tour. What stood out the most was how cooperative and considerate he was especially with early mornings and adjusting to how we were feeling day-to-day. He made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. We genuinely could not have asked for a better guide and would 100% recommend him to anyone!
We also did a 6-hour Inka Trail hike with another guide, Gran Beker, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The hike was definitely challenging, but it was completely worth it. That said, we truly couldn’t have done it without him. He was incredible with the kids, constantly uplifting and encouraging us, which made such a difference in keeping everyone motivated. We needed quite a few breaks in the first half, and he was nothing but patient and understanding. He even carried our lunches the entire way and then gave us an amazing tour of Machu Picchu at the end. He completely elevated the experience for our whole family.
Samantha also deserves a huge thank you! This was a very complicated trip to plan, but she was there for us every step of the way. Her support made the entire process so much easier, and everything was executed perfectly according to plan. That level of organization and reliability made a huge difference.
And last but definitely not least, our driver Mario was outstanding. He is genuinely one of the most skilled drivers I’ve ever seen. When we visited the salt mines, we were driving along the edge of a cliff, and he maneuvered the van with such ease and confidence it was INCREDIBLY reassuring. The car itself was very comfortable, which was perfect for longer drives since the kids could rest easily. He even had blankets for the colder mornings, which was such a thoughtful touch. And to top it all off, his playlist was amazing!
Overall, this team made our experience surreal. Every single person we interacted with went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, informed, and enjoying every moment. Travel With Purpose is an amazing company, and we would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Cusco!
